The Pinnacle Product Awards recognize products that improve or advance the printing industry with exceptional contributions in quality, capability, and productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is a competition for manufacturers (not printers) that has three main categories: Output devices, Non-Output devices, and Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Output Devices competition requires that entrants print out a provided two-page IT8 target for submission. The IT8 target is then measured using an X-Rite i1iO and Maxwell software. The IT8 measurements are totaled and the best in each subcategory is the winning recipient. This competition is solely based on the math.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Non-Output Devices competition is an award for product improvements. On the site, once you choose a subcategory you will be asked to fill in information about the product being entered. For example: How does this product move our industry forward? MSRP and The date product was first manufactured? A panel of judges then review this information and select the best of each subcategory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Technology competition is what was previously called InterTech. This competition looks at the development of technologies predicted to have a major impact on the commercial printing, digital textile, packaging, screen printing, wide format, or related industries. There are no subcategories in this competition and entries are judged on an individual basis. Similar to the non-output devices competition entrants are asked to fill in information about the product being entered. Then a panel of judges (not the same panel used for the non-output competition) decide which technologies should be awarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
